
Selection Process
Inductees to the Order of the Canadian Business Hall of Fame are chosen by the CBHF Selection Committee comprised of Companions, business leaders and corporate board members. Annually, the committee meets to review nominees, appointing those individuals who best embody the values and membership criteria of the CBHF.
Award Criteria
The Canadian Business Hall of Fame’s annual Induction Ceremony & Celebration awards distinguished leaders for their transformative contributions to Canada’s economic prosperity and business landscape.
Vision & Leadership
Candidates have demonstrated exceptional vision and leadership, elevating one or more business organizations to new heights. Widely recognized and applauded, their initiatives and legacy stand out.
Economic Impact
Nominees have had an impact on the Canadian economy through verifiable financial success, job creation, expansion and innovation. Challenges encountered along the way have been overcome through vision and determination.
Citizenship & Philanthropy
Honourees have utilized their influence and energy to further Canadian social and economic wellbeing, as demonstrated through leadership in philanthropy or in community-based initiatives.
Role Model
Inductees are widely respected, considered exemplary role models for young Canadians, and recognized for their character, integrity and contributions to cultivating talent.
Eligibility
Awardees are Canadian citizens. They must have demonstrated national business leadership and attained senior status in the enterprise and business sector in which they gained prominence.

- Bestowed Order of the Business Hall of Fame™ and receive the post-nominal designation C.B.H.F.

Annual inductees are chosen by an independent selection committee that is facilitated by Korn Ferry based on Nominations for the Order of Business Hall of Fame processed on a rolling basis.
